A BIKE RIDE INTO HISTORY

Guinness World Records, here we come! The Aggie Pack's bicycle parade on March 3 drew 913 two-wheelers for a single-file trek through campus, setting a new world record, pending certification by the folks at Guinness. The old record was 641. The UC Davis event drew students, staff and others from the community. "A lot of people had a lot of fun," said Scott Brayton, assistant athletic director for marketing. The ride traveled a 2.2-mile route, and the first riders finished at the same time that the last riders left the Toomey Field staging area, Brayton said.
