LATIN AMERICAN FILM SERIES, EXHIBIT

A Latin American Film Series is set to begin today (Jan. 18) with O Ano em Que Meus Pais Saíram de Férias (The Year My Parents Went on Vacation).

Also this quarter, Shields Library is presenting The Many Faces of Latin American Cinema, an exhibit of holdings from the university collection.

The film series, sponsored by UC Davis’ Hemispheric Institute on the Americas, continues weekly through March 7. Starting time is 7 p.m. in 1322 Storer Hall. Admission is free, and the series is open to the public.

Jan. 18 -- O Ano em Que Meus Pais Saíram de Férias (The Year My Parents Went on Vacation)

Jan. 25 -- El viaje de Carol (Carol's Journey)

Feb. 1 -- Viva Cuba (Long Live Cuba)

Feb. 8 -- 25 Watts

Feb. 15 -- Quase Dois Irmáos (Almost Two Brothers)

Feb. 22 -- Judíos en el espacio o por qué es differente esa noche a las demás noches (Jews in Space, or Why Is This Different from All Other Nights?)

Feb. 29 -- Padre nuestro (Our Father)

March 7 -- El violín (The Violin)
